About Quantfolio

Quantfolio is a free portfolio analytics app for Indian investors. Bring in your stocks, F&O and mutual funds from a broker file or your mutual fund statement, and see your real returns, risk, allocation and capital-gains tax in one place.

Who runs Quantfolio

Quantfolio is built and run by Smit Bhansali, an independent founder based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Work on it began in May 2026, and it is self-funded.

Quantfolio is not a registered company yet; until it is, Smit Bhansali operates the service personally.

What it does

  • Your returns as XIRR, next to an index bought with the same rupees on the same dates.
  • Risk in plain English: volatility, beta, worst fall (drawdown) and Value at Risk.
  • Allocation, what-if scenarios and rebalancing towards targets you set.
  • Capital-gains tax by financial year, with long-term holdings and the yearly exemption tracked.
  • Free calculators anyone can use, without an account: CAGR, XIRR, capital gains and tax harvesting.

What it is not

Quantfolio is an analytics tool. It is not a broker, a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, or a tax consultant. It never places orders and never tells you what to buy or sell; it shows facts about the portfolio you already have.

Your data

Quantfolio never asks for broker logins. Broker files are read in your browser, and only the rows you confirm are sent. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Settings. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Use have the details.
